"Approved For Adoption" tells the little-known tale of the 165,000 or more Korean children adopted internationally since the end of the Korean War. Jung is one of them. He looks back over his life, describing the events that gradually led him to take control of his destiny while accepting his own biculturalism. Displacement, identity, integration, sexuality and the reconstituted, mixed-race family are all themes tackled with poetry, humour and emotion in this film.
